HIRING
PROCESS
Once a position is available for outside applicants, it will
be posted on myworknet.com and/or advertised in Lancaster Eagle
Gazette and/or Columbus Dispatch. Interested applicants may
respond by sending a completed
Civil Service
Application
and resume to:

Fairfield
County Job and Family Services
Human Resource Department
239 W. Main Street
Lancaster, OH 43130
Resumes
are screened by the Human Resource Department based upon the
minimum qualifications for the position. Only applicants meeting
the minimum qualifications for the positions will be eligible for
an interview. Due to the high volume of resumes received, not all
applicants will move onto the interview phase of the selection
process.
Applicants
that submit a resume to the Human Resource Department will receive
a post card that will confirm. Due to the high volume of resumes
received on a regular basis, applicants are NOT encouraged
to call and check on their resume if they have received a
confirmation post card.
The
first step of the interview process is a screening interview. If
you are chosen for a screening interview, you will be contacted by
the Human Resource Department.
Following
the screening interview, applicants may be recommended for
additional interviews with program managers/supervisors.
Departmental management will make the final recommendation for
their openings. However, Human Resources will notify applicants of
the final decision of selection or non-selection.
Recommended
applicants are subject to the successful completion of
job-related background checks including electronic
fingerprinting and driving records when applicable. All offers
of employment are contingent upon approval of these background
checks.
Unsolicited
resumes will be kept on file for six months.
